Twenty-three Indian fishermen have been captured and 4 boats seized close to the worldwide maritime boundary line (IMBL) off Jakhau coast in Kutch district in Gujarat by Pakistan maritime businesses, stated a fishermen’s outfit functionary.
Porbandar Fishermen Boat Affiliation president Jivan Jungi stated, of the 4 boats, two had set sail from Porbandar a number of days in the past, whereas one every was registered in Okha and Veraval.
“Now we have learnt that 23 Indian fishermen on 4 boats have been apprehended mid-sea by Pakistan Maritime Safety Company close to the worldwide maritime boundary line (IMBL) within the Arabian sea off Jakhau coast of Kutch district on Friday. The fishermen can be taken to Karachi Port,” stated Mr Jungi.
Indian fishermen are sometimes captured by Pakistan businesses who accuse them of straying into the territorial waters of that nation.
