Raipur, December 26, 2024: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, known for its efforts in #buildingbusinessowners, warmly welcomed a delegation of 45 students and five coordinators from Assam University, Silchar, under the Ministry of Education’s flagship program Yuva Sangam Phase V. This initiative, part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program, aims to strengthen connections among India’s youth by facilitating cultural, developmental, and technological exchanges. The program is scheduled from December 26 to 30, 2024.
The inaugural event was graced by Shri Sanjeev Kumar, DRM of North Central Railway, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the students, Shri Kumar emphasized the importance of embracing India’s diverse heritage, stating, “India’s strength lies in its diversity, and programs like Yuva Sangam provide an excellent platform for young minds to explore and connect. Travel extensively to broaden your perspective and strengthen our nation’s unity.”

Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, welcomed the delegation, highlighting the program’s potential to foster mutual understanding and cultural enrichment. - Heritage Visits: Trips to the Sirpur Archaeological Site and Barnavapara Wildlife Sanctuary to explore the state’s historical and natural beauty.
- Industrial and Developmental Exposure: Visits to the Bhilai Steel Plant and Purkhooti Muktangan.
- Interaction with Leaders: Meetings with the Governor and tours of prominent landmarks like the State Museum and Governor House.
